Is this your first time attending the AVCA Annual Convention? If so, you are in store for a great week of education, networking, volleyball and fun. The AVCA wants to help get you ready for your convention experience. Be sure to read through the “Convention 101: Maximizing Your AVCA Convention Experience” PowerPoint presentation. This presentation will offer some tips and suggestions to help you take advantage of everything the convention has to offer.
In addition, all first-time convention attendees are invited to participate in a seminar titled, “AVCA Convention 101: What Every First Time Attendee Needs to Know” presented by Chuck Rey, Women’s Head Coach at Winthrop, Winthrop Assistant Coach Becca Acevedo, and Brian Swenty, Girls’ Head Coach at Vilseck High School. This session will offer first time attendees advice on how to maximize your convention experience including the “must attend” convention events. This presentation will be held from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16 for coaches with a Full, Pre-Con/Full, or ACE/Full registration package and again from 9 – 10:15 a.m. on Friday, December 18 for those with a Weekend registration package. Both presentations will be held in the CHI Health Convention Center. After the presentation on Wednesday first-timers are invited to a reception from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. in the convention center for a networking opportunity with other first-time convention attendees.
